Located in Buffalo, Wyoming and Santa Fe, New Mexico, our company began operations in 2006, initially providing federal oil and gas permitting and environmental consulting services to the Powder River Basin. Since then, our team has grown to over 35 technical professionals including wildlife biologists, botanists, geographical information systems (GIS) analysts, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) specialists, oil and gas permitting, cultural resource specialists, and hydrologists. This diversity allows our team to manage a wide variety of projects throughout Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico.
GMEC has extensive experience working with private industry, federal, state and tribal entities, on a variety of natural resource related projects. Combined with backgrounds in farming and ranching, many team members worked prior with government agencies including NRCS, USFS, BLM, USFWS, and WY-DEQ. This diversity allows GMEC to facilitate cooperation between all parties and aids in the development of mutually approved plans.
GMEC’s small company values are visible in the quality of our work, and the relationships we develop with our clients. Whether your project requires obtaining a federal Application for Permit to Drill (APD), navigating the policies surrounding greater sage grouse management or NEPA compliance, our staff of dedicated professionals is ready to assist your project needs.
